WINTER MAINTENANCE CHORES

Clean and remove snow buildup from around air intakes, exhausts and utility meters.

Remove excess snow from roofs to prevents ice dams.

Check and clean your sump pump pit to be ready for spring thaw.

Observe humidity levels and adjust your humidistat or air exchanger control as needed to minimize moisture build-up on windows.

It's HOME SHOW time again! Come visit KMA Feb. 26-28 at our booth across from Tradehome Shoes at the River Hills Mall, Mankato.

March 19-21, KMA will be at the Southern Minnesota Home and Builders Show at the Verizon Center in Mankato. KMA will be presenting a seminar on "Five Key Concepts of Green Building" several times during the weekend. Come join us!

KMA principal, Pauline Marlinski, has completed extensive training from the Southern Minnesota Initiative Foundation as a "Community Connector." Pauline is now part of a team of community leaders who help teach the concept of "Asset Based Community Development."

In addition, Chuck Klimmek has been re-elected President of the Gaylord Economic Development Authority. The EDA is involved in several projects to improve the quality of life in Gaylord. The most recent accomplishment of the EDA under Chuck's direction is Gaylord's participation in a visit from the Minnesota Design Team. This group of architects, designers and planners worked with the citizens of Gaylord over 3 days to create a vision for an improved community. Implementation meetings for that vision have begun.
