MAINTENANCE TIPS
Here's some tips to get your home ready for the winter season:

**Check for gaps or separation in outdoor caulk around windows, doors, & trim and repair.

**Check roof vents and soffit vents as well as clean gutters and downspouts after the autumn leaf-fall.

**Check and clean chimneys, firpelace, furnace and mechanical ventilation systems.

**Clean all filters: range hood, dryer vent, HRV vents, etc.

**Check exterior doors for gaps in weatherstipping and threshholds.

GOOD NEWS!
KMA principal, Pauline Marlinski, recently complete extensive training from the Southern Minnesota Initiative Foundation as a "Community Connector". Pauline is now part of a team of community leaders who help teach the concept of "Asset Based Community Development." She is currently working with the City of Fairmont as they look at engaging elders and workforce readiness.

In addition, Chuck Klimmek has been re-elected President of the Gaylord Economic Development Authority. The EDA is involved in several projects to improve the quality of life in Gaylord. The most recent accomplishment of the EDA under Chuck's direction is Gaylord's participation in a visit from the Minnesota Design Team. This group of architects, designers and planners worked with the citizens of Gaylord over 3 days to create a vision for an improved community.
